Premier Select Cooperative is seeking a Sales Support Specialist in the North Region reporting to Eric Lundberg, Regional Sales Manager.  This position will be responsible to oversee the offering of value-added services to maximize profit for our members in central New York.

Main Responsibilities:

• – Work with the Regional Sales Manager and Area Sales Managers to identify and service key accounts
• – Perform relief artificial insemination
• – Educate customers on benefits of Select Mating Solutions and CowManager assisting the programs through implementation
• – Identify areas of potential growth for the company to recommend sales expansion opportunities
• – Represent Premier at regional and state events when applicable
• – Provide feedback on activities in the area
• – Various projects based on business needs

Education, Experience & Qualifications

• – Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Agriculture Economics, or related field is preferred.
• – Specific industry experience is required to include:

• • – Specialization in artificial insemination and reproduction management
  • – Knowledge of synchronization protocols along with a basic understanding of dairy and beef genetics
  • – Experience in dairy cattle evaluation
  • – 2+ years industry related experience

• – Strong interpersonal & communications skills along with excellent customer service skills to build strong relationships.

• • – Solid presentation skills are required with the ability to earn customer trust and loyalty.

• – Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office coupled with the ability to quickly learn related business software.

• • – Working knowledge of PC Dart, Bovisync and DairyComp 305 a plus

• – Ambitious, organized, motivated and highly efficient & effective

This full-time salaried role is typically Monday through Friday with schedule changes based on company needs.  Travel will be required throughout the service territory.  Candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
