This week’s employee highlight is Mason Hamlett!

Mason has been with Premier for a year and a half and is an Area Sales Manager in Eastern Virginia. His daily tasks consist of truck routes where he interacts with customers and sells products and semen. He gets to work with producers daily, and he talks about genetics and products to better their herds and reach their goals. He also gets to evaluate and AI cattle during different breeding seasons of the year!

When asked what he finds most rewarding about his role, Mason states, “The most rewarding part of my job is bringing our genetics and products to producers to help them maximize their genetic goals. I enjoy evaluating cows with farmers and seeing how the Select Sires genetics have helped to shape their herds for generations.”

When asked what advice he has for people interested in a similar career path he says, “Premier is an enjoyable place to work. You have to be willing to work hard, stay focused, and be willing to work with others to get the job done. In this industry we work in a fast-paced environment that is always changing and growing. You have to be willing to go the extra mile and be there for your customers and producers to provide the help and services they need.”

In his time away from work, he enjoys working alongside his dad and grandfather on his family’s beef cattle farm. They run a commercial cow/calf operation, and he enjoys spending time taking care of their cattle and being with his family.
