John Weiler Retires after 14 Years of Service

John Weiler, Reproductive Services Specialist in Pennsylvania, retires June 30, 2026 after 14 years of service. Please join us in congratulating him!

John grew up on a mixed enterprise farm with chickens, beef, and dairy. As a junior in high school, he attended an AI class sponsored by American Breeders Service. Right after high school, John began his career in the AI industry with Atlantic Breeders Cooperative. He also worked for Sire Power when they were first expanding into Lancaster County, PA. John then spent some time working as an electrician before eventually starting an independent AI service. After almost 25 years of running his own AI service company, he was encouraged by Andrew Fleishcher in 2014 to join Select Sire Power (which would later become Premier Select Sires).

“I have enjoyed my time in the AI industry and my time with Premier Select Sires,” said John. “I’m going to miss the interaction with customers and coworkers.”

To his coworkers, John says, “There are new tools available now to the bovine industry that were not available in the past. Continue to learn about and implement these new tools and methods as they come available to support your customers to reach their goals.

John’s future plans include spending time with family, working at renovating houses, and volunteering his electrical skills in disaster relief and third world countries.

“John has been a pleasure to work with. I’ve admired his dedication to always go above and beyond for his customers,” said Dave Miklic, Reproductive Service Manager for Premier. “With his many years of experience, he is a true professional, and personally, I have benefited from John’s advice over the years. I wish him the best in his retirement.”

Thank you, John, for all you’ve brought to our organization!
