Kevin Slagle Retires after 31 Years of Service

Kevin Slagle, Reproductive Services Specialist (RSS) for Premier Select Sires, retires May 31, 2026 after 31 years of service.

Kevin began his career in agriculture on his home farm, where he worked for twenty years. From the time he was a youth and through young adulthood, he learned to show, milk, and breed cattle. He then worked two years for Mason Dixon Farms, which has since grown to milking over 2,000 cows with a robotic milking system.

In 1995, Kevin began his career as an RSS for VA/NC Select Sires (a preceding cooperative of Premier Select Sires). He was hired by Norman Vincel under the leadership of General Manager Wayne Dudley. Kevin is a Super Achiever award recipient (1999), and he is a multiple-time President’s Club award recipient. More recently in his career, Kevin was recognized for reaching 100,000 service units, an impressive milestone among RSSs.

“The coworkers and customers I have known over the years I’ll surely miss more than the cows,” said Kevin. “Every day is a day of potential growth and development in our lives. I wish my coworkers and customers great success in becoming all that they are meant to be.”

Dave Miklic, Reproductive Service Manager for Premier, said, “In the years that I’ve worked with Kevin, I have admired his commitment to his customers and attention to every detail of his job. Kevin is a true professional who has always taken the time to give his customers excellent service, which is evident by the appreciation and loyalty his customers have for him.”

Please join us in wishing Kevin the very best in retirement!
