This week, we are thrilled to highlight Kristy Temple!

Kristy is a Reproductive Services Specialist Supervisor for the Northern Region. She started with Premier six years ago as a summer intern. She later served as a Relief Technician and then managed her own technician area across the Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, and Central NY. After gaining outside experience as a herdsman on a large dairy and working in R&D at Cornell University, she brought her diverse expertise back to Premier!

No two days are the same for Kristy. Her days are spent with our customers’ and technicians’ best interests in mind, whether she is advising/guiding technicians and customers, working alongside our office staff, making schedules, riding along with techs, hiring, training, relief breeding, attending career and ag days, or mentoring the next generation through our internship program!

Kristy says, “It has been rewarding to watch and help my team of technicians be successful and continue to reach their full potential. I have truly enjoyed the relationships that I have been able to build with both my technicians and their customers along the way.”

When asked what advice she has for anyone looking to build a similar career path, Kristy shares, “Always show up ready to work with an open mind and willingness to learn. Learn everything you can from your peers and those around you who have been where you want to go in your career and life; they are some of our greatest resources.”

Outside of work, Kristy runs a small sewing and quilting business and enjoys gardening, cooking, raising chickens, and spending time outdoors!
