This week’s employee highlight is Luke Johnson! 

Luke has been with Premier for five years. He started in Virginia in a Select Mating Service (SMS) and Area Sales Manager (ASM) role before becoming an ASM in North Carolina. He has been in his current role for two years now. His typical day includes supplying dairy and beef customers with our genetics, herd health product line, and liquid nitrogen services.

According to ASM Henry Mitchell, “Luke is the true definition of a team player. He works hard as an ASM along with doing some SRS and mating work.”

When asked what he finds most rewarding about his role, Luke says, “I enjoy providing solutions for opportunities that will help my customers become more successful and profitable. It is most rewarding to hear when a customer provides feedback on sires or products that have helped benefit his or her operation.”

When asked what advice he would give to someone interested in a similar career path at Premier, Luke says, “Don’t be afraid to take that leap of faith into something that may not be in your comfort zone to get you to where you want to be. Willingness to work hard and a never-stop-learning mentality goes a long way as well.”

When not working, Luke enjoys farming with family, hunting, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling to new places when time allows.
