This week, we are thrilled to highlight Vanessa Hostetter, a Reproductive Services Specialist based in the Central region, covering Northern Lancaster and Lebanon counties.

Vanessa has spent 5.5 years with Premier, starting her journey as an extern while studying at Penn State. She officially joined the company as an intern in December 2020, spent three years doing vital relief work as an RSS, and successfully transitioned into her own territory in November 2024. Every day, she focuses on providing top-tier artificial insemination services for the farms in her area. She collaborates closely with farmers, coworkers, and industry consultants to maximize reproductive success and solve complex herd concerns.

“The relationships that I have built with my customers and the level of trust those customers put in me to help them succeed is the most rewarding,” Vanessa shares. “I really enjoy working with cattle every day, while being able to problem solve, give advice, and have a meaningful impact on the herds and the farmers’ bottom lines.”

When asked what advice she has for anyone looking to build a similar career path, Vanessa states: “Work hard, be a team player, and provide the highest level of service possible to customers. Use every experience, whether it is positive or negative, as a chance to learn and improve yourself personally and as an employee.”

In her free time, Vanessa enjoys working on her family farm, showing dairy cattle, hunting, and photography. She also loves attending church, spending time with friends and family, and listening to Philly and Penn State sports—especially baseball and football.
