Premier Select Sires is seeking a Dairy Sales and Distribution Specialist in the Southwest Region reporting to Tim Barnes, Dir. of Distribution & Regional Sales. This position will be responsible for overseeing the offering of value-added services to maximize profit for our members throughout Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, and will be a member of the Distribution team in the Tennessee office.
Main Responsibilities:
- – Work with key accounts to manage data, develop tools, and implement strategies to benefit on-farm decision making.
- – Work with the Regional Sales Manager and Area Sales Managers to identify and service key accounts as well as lead various events for the sales team.
- – Educate customers on benefits of the Select Reproductive Solutions, Select Mating Solutions, Cow Manager and A.I. Training, and assist the programs through implementation.
- – Become proficient on semen and products for sales opportunities within our customer base.
- – Identify areas of potential growth for the company to recommend sales expansion opportunities.
- – Assist with the distribution of semen and products to 23 states and approximately 300 sales outlets.
- – Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory in the TN office and area field inventories.
- – Represent Premier at regional, state, and national events when applicable.
- – Assist product sales with the coordination of the Premier Product Manager.
- – Provide feedback on activities in the area.
- – Other tasks as assigned.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
- – Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Agriculture Economics, or related field is preferred.
- – Specific industry experience is required to include:

- – Specialization in artificial insemination and reproduction management
- – Extensive knowledge of synchronization protocols along with a basic understanding of dairy and beef genetics
- – Experience in dairy cattle evaluation
- – 4-6 years industry related experience
- – Strong interpersonal & communications skills along with excellent customer service skills to build strong relationships.

- – Solid presentation skills are required with the ability to earn customer trust and loyalty.
- – Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office coupled with the ability to quickly learn related business software.

- – Working knowledge of PC Dart, Bovisync and DairyComp 305
- – Ambitious, organized, motivated and highly efficient & effective
- – Candidate must be based in the Tennessee office
This full-time salaried role is typically Monday through Friday with schedule changes based on company needs. Travel requirements include approximately 30% throughout the service territory. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
